HD Electric's V-Watch Personal Voltage Detector is a device worn by workers who may be in danger of contacting an energized conductor. The unit operates by sensing the electric field surrounding a high-voltage power system and sounding an alarm and flashing lights, which increase in frequency as the user approaches the source. Two models are available. The V-Watch features audible and visual alarms, a low-battery indicator, built-in self-test, belt clip and soft carrying case. The V-Watch Pro has all of these features plus a mute button to silence the alarm for 3-5 minutes.
